Wiley-Gates,  Sonya Lynn, age 49, of Dayton, departed this life Friday, June 8, 2012. She was a 1982 graduate of Kiser High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Sonya was the owner operator of Mother’s Best Friend Daycare for 18 years. Preceded in death by her father, Glenn A. Gay Sr. brother, Aldon A. Gay grandson, Zakya Elais Watkins. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Jasmine & Jessica Gates grandmother, Jenyee L. Wiley mother, Marlena Hill sisters, Iris (Dwayne) Johnson & Karey Turner, all of Dayton brothers, Myron Wiley of Houston, TX, Glenn (Stephanie) Gay of Indianapolis, IN granddaughters, Jalae and Camryn Holt, & JaKyia Cook special friend, Robin Rice-Johnson a host of other relatives & friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Overcomers in Christ Ministries, 900 Cincinnati Street. Elder Clifford L. Holt officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 10 am Thursday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N.
