PARKS-EDMONDS,  Elsie , age 89, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 11, 2012. A native of Atlanta, Georgia and a resident of Dayton for 65 years. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, James Henry and Emma Parks son, Samuel Parks 7 brothers & 7 sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Henry C.L. Parks, Sr. (Theresa) brother, Ludie Parks (June) sisters, Maggie Jean and Katie Parks 5 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, June 22, 2012 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 S. Broadway St. Rev. Norman Scearce officiating. Visitation 9 am Friday at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave.
