ROBERTS, Mr. Roosevelt “Big Man”, age 87, of Dayton, departed this life Friday, December 7, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. A native of Monroe, Georgia and a resident of Dayton a number of years. A veteran of the United States Army and a retired employee of Harrison Radiator, a division of General Motors, after 31 years of service. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Ella Roberts and grandson, Steven Curtis Talley. Survivors include his loving and devoted daughter, Doris Talley; 3 grandchildren, Nelson Moore, Deonda Talley, Rufus Talley; 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; 2 sisters, Gladys Langsley, Leatrice Pearson; my little sister, Dorothy Roberts-Hutchens “Little Mike”; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation 4 to 8 pm Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, December 14, 2007 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 South Broadway Street. Rev. Dr. Donald W. Thompson officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens.
